BIGZO
Delete your data
You can delete your Bigzo account entirely, or delete individual pieces of your data and keep the account. Both are covered below.
Delete only some of your data
You do not have to delete your account to remove data. Everything here is self-service in the app and needs no request. Access ends the moment you act; where the file also has to leave our storage, the bullet says how long that takes:
- Photos — delete any photo individually (Profile → Edit). The file is erased from storage, thumbnail included, not just hidden.
- Private albums — delete a whole album, or revoke one person's access to it, at any time.
- Profile details — clear your bio, pronouns, gender identity or sexual orientation by emptying the field (Profile → Edit). Cleared means deleted, not hidden.
- Messages — unsend within 10 minutes of sending (24 hours with Premium). An unsent photo leaves the chat at once and our storage after 7 days — we hold it that week only so a report about it can still be investigated.
- Photos you sent in chat — you do not have to do anything. Every chat photo is deleted from our storage 30 days after you send it. The message stays in the conversation and shows the picture as expired.
- Location — turn off location permission and your position stops updating; it disappears from other people's grids after 7 days. We only ever keep your latest position, never a history.
Want something removed that isn't in this list? Email admin@bigzoapp.com and we will handle it.
Delete your whole account
In the app (immediate)
- Open Bigzo and go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
Your profile disappears from the app straight away.
By email (if you cannot sign in)
Email admin@bigzoapp.com from the address on the account,
with the subject Delete my account. We will verify ownership and delete
it for you. No app install required.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, bio, date of birth, pronouns, gender identity, sexual orientation, height, weight, relationship status and tags — erased.
- All of your photos, public and private, including thumbnails — erased from storage.
- Your location, preferences, privacy settings, favourites, blocks, views, push tokens, and login sessions — erased.
- Your email and username — replaced with an unusable placeholder so nobody can reuse or trace them.
What is kept, and why
- Messages you sent stay in the other person's conversation, shown as coming from "Deleted user". Deleting them would destroy the other person's copy of a conversation they were also part of.
- Safety reports involving your account are kept for 2 years as a safety record. They point at an anonymised account, not at you.
Timing
Your account leaves the app immediately: your profile disappears for everyone, every session is signed out, and nobody can find you. Permanent anonymisation — your photos and personal fields erased for good — runs automatically after a 30-day grace period.
You cannot restore the account yourself. If you deleted by mistake, email admin@bigzoapp.com before those 30 days are up; afterwards there is nothing left to bring back.
